Shanghai Spont Trading Co., Ltd. was founded in early 2001, as a certified distributor for DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers business in China. With the business growth, the company has established two subsidiaries successively to better serve its customers: Shanghai Elvan Trading Co., Ltd. and AuPont Pty Ltd. in Australia. Now the Spont Group, which consists of three companies mentioned above, is a certified national distributor of Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastic (formerly DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers) for China business. Spont is committed to providing stable supply of Dow special packaging material and value-added technical services to all customers. 

Based on the business intention, Shanghai Spont Trading Co., Ltd. is responsible for the business of Dow’s packaging special material in all regions except South of China. Shanghai Elvan Trading Co., Ltd. covers the business in South of China and AuPont Pty Ltd. is specialized in imported service of non-RMB sales and transactions. 

The Spont Group is headquartered in Shanghai and has a sales office in Zhongshan Guangdong Province. Spont also built its warehouses in both South and East China to ensure swift and stable supply of high-quality products and services to local customers.

Our main products are special packaging material resins from Dow (formerly DuPont) such as Appeel, Bynel, Nucrel and Surlyn etc. Those special packaging materials are mainly used in food packaging, cosmetic packaging, medical packaging, transportation packaging, electronic packaging and other packaging areas with special requirements and purposes. On the other hand, our products are also widely applied to construction panel, decoration panel, honeycomb panel, heat insulation panel and advertising panel, etc. 

Since the business reconstruction of both Dow and DuPont in 2019, the Spont Group now officially become the certified national distributor of Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastic. Our business still focuses on the sales of special packaging material resins in China and the technical services to support the growth of our customers.
